Be Fair – Tryon’s Daily Bulletin

Saluda News and Notes

You don’t always have to do something. You can just be, and that is more than enough.

~ Alice Walker

December – many Christmas trees festooned with light scattered here and there … afternoons glistening under blue skies – in the blink of an eye the year has moved to winter and home. Sometimes it’s good to just take the time to be, to take a break from the hustle and bustle.

To simply BE, to watch the birds, the evening sunsets, the night stars rising in a deep indigo sky, to listen to the crisp leaves underfoot, to admire the water rippling over the moss covered stones. To notice the blue-silver haze of distant mountains, the green mystery. Sometimes not doing something is everything.
