Free Art Exhibits in Burnaby, Metro Vancouver

The artists of ReVision: The Art of Recycling take stock of climate change – with whimsy, humor and fun.

Whimsy, humor and recycled trash join forces to deliver a serious message about climate change in a new exhibition at Deer Lake Gallery.

The members of ReVision: The Art of Recycling are organizing a group exhibition at the gallery starting Thursday, September 22.

The works of 23 artists reflect various approaches to recovering waste in order to create messages of commitment and hope. The theme of the exhibition is Make Art Fun Again, with a focus on positive change as artists speak out to help shape opinions on environmental conservation.

It includes an interactive play area to allow visitors to become actively involved in the work.

The exhibition is curated by Burnaby Arts Council board member Ron Simmer, who is also an artist and member of ReVision. ReVision: The Art of Recycling is a nonprofit society of artists dedicated to bringing attention to environmental issues by recycling waste into meaningful art.

You can admire their work at the Deer Lake Gallery until October 22.
