Martis, Neckvatal, Knight and Reutenick Take Top Honors at Art Guild Fall Exhibition | Lifestyles

The Fall Art Show Audience Award winners were recognized at the Art Guild’s Fun and Wine Friday 3 December reception at the Art Center.

The public and members of the Art Guild voted for their favorite works of art on display in the gallery throughout the month of November, with a total of 324 ballots submitted.

Thirty-four artists presented 81 works of art for the People’s Choice Show. The vote was so close that in the ranking of the top 20 winners there were 6 ties, making a total of 28 pieces in the top 20.

The following pieces were recognized with cash prizes from sponsor Atlas Real Estate and handmade ribbons created by members of the Art Guild: Bowl ”, third place: Manuel Marti glass mosaic,“ Seaside Village “4th place: acrylic painting by Jerry Knight,” Three on a Match “and 5th place: wooden artwork by Gary Reutenick:” Close Living “.

All winning entries will be on display until December. A special member exhibit, large canvases and nature-themed artwork from jewelers, as well as the monthly Art Guild member gallery exhibit will be on display until in January.

There will be a Fun and Wine reception on Friday January 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Art Center. The public is invited to attend.

The art center is at 451 Lakeview Drive with winter hours: Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until February 28. The art center is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

The Art Guild’s new retail location, the Endless Possibilities Arts and Crafts Store, is also open during regular hours and is located in the Art Center. It features a wide variety of unique and affordable arts and crafts made exclusively by our members.
