News and information – The state of the art of the Toi Three Sixty exhibition

Start your own art collection or expand your current collection with affordable artwork from the people of Toi Pōneke, with all money going directly to the artists in the cash and carry exhibit.

Each artist will feature a number of pieces in the exhibition and one work online, and will be replaced with a pink dot when sold and taken to their new home.

City Art Collection clerk and Toi Pōneke studio artist Laura Woodward said the Toi Pōneke studio residents’ year-end show was a highlight of her year.

“It doesn’t last long though – as soon as the doors open, there is an influx of visitors and sales begin.

“We are building the low price into the theme to allow more people to create their own unique art collection.

“The quality is high and the range is wide. Toi Pōneke studios are used by painters, jewelers, object makers, ceramists, photographers and textile artists. This exhibition provides an introduction or insight into an artist’s practice, and it provides a glimpse of the creative expression cultivated in this vitally important installation.

The collection will be presented from December 15 to 22 at the Toi Pōneke gallery. There will also be an online option with works available for viewing and purchase starting Wednesday, December 1.

Online: from December 1
In gallery: December 15 – 22
