TUCSON, Arizona (KOLD News 13) – World-renowned artist Rotraut will host his first comprehensive historical exhibition in Arizona, thanks to SculptureTucson.
SculptureTucson is a local nonprofit organization committed to beautifying the local landscapes of Tucson with the development of sculptures, public works of art, and even workshops and resources for budding artists and collectors.
From December 1, 2021 to June 1, 2022, SculptureTucson will be exhibiting Rotraut’s powerful large-scale pieces in its two-acre sculpture park located at Post House inside the Brandi Fenton Memorial Park in 3420 East River Road.
“We invite the entire community and art lovers from across the country to come and see Rotraut’s impressive and unforgettable works of art.” says Barbara Grygutis with SculptureTucson.
This will be the first time that Rotraut has hosted such an event in Arizona. Since 1959, his spontaneous and electrifying work, which is inspired by the feelings and behavior of the human unconscious, has been presented worldwide in galleries and in Basel, from the Center Georges Pompidou in Paris to the Galerie Pascal de Sarthe in San Francisco. With his work currently on display in Saint Tropez, France.
A full catalog of SculptureTucson’s Rotraut exhibition is expected to be released and available on December 1. For more information visit www.sculpturetucson.org.
