The GENERATOR from Ridgefield Arts Council on December 1 at the PRPP Gallery

The Ridgefield Arts Council invites local artists, creative professionals and curious minds to the next edition of the GENERATOR, to be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the PRPP Gallery, located at 410 Main Street in Ridgefield, CT.

The networking event will feature three speakers discussing their respective artistic endeavors with the aim of fostering dialogue and creative connection between and among attendees. The December event will feature a dynamic conversation from:

Non-profit leader Catherine tufano who has been Director of Development and Marketing for the Ridgefield Historical Society since 2020. With additional experience in development roles at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum and MASS MoCA, as well as the Executive Director of the Catskill Art Society, Kathryn is 17 years old experience working in non-profit cultural institutions.

Musician Barrett jones who is a guitarist and songwriter with over forty years of experience in composition and music. A veteran of basement shows, DIY art spaces, and punk rock dive bar concerts, Barrett has performed in numerous bands and released his music on independent labels in the United States and abroad. Barrett also founded a music education laboratory for children called the Beat Club.

Triple Emmy Award Winner Actor, Comedian, Writer, and Painter Dave könig who recently starred in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Blacklist, Blue Bloods and many more, and whose work is currently on display at the PRPP Gallery. Dave is a native New Yorker with an affinity for painting working class people “mostly from the Bronx”. Konig has co-created, with composer Elliot Finkel, a new musical review based on his paintings.

Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. to mix and mingle over light snacks and wine, and the speaker program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Creatives, creative professionals and anyone who lives in Ridgefield and the surrounding areas are welcome. The cost of participating in the generator is $ 10, and pre-registration can be completed here.

Registration will also be available at the door. Proceeds from the generator benefit the Ridgefield Arts Council scholarship fund.
